After Barcelona’s win against Mallorca yesterday, Real Madrid was under tremendous pressure. Fortunately, Real Madrid won against Eibar. Despite Eibar’s 4-2-3-1 formation against Madrid’s 4-3-3, Tony Kroos managed to bag an early goal for Real Madrid at 4′.
Soon after that, Eibar responded by making promising attacks on Madrid’s goal post but failed to equalize. At this point, the players were getting aggressive without the ball. 21 minutes passed and Rafa pulled Rodrygo back, but the referee did not book him.
At minute 30, Sergio Ramos scored another goal for Real Madrid. Hazard could have scored this goal himself. However, he passed the ball to Ramos, who kicked the ball right into the open net. After the drinks break, Marcelo scored the third goal for Real Madrid at 37′. There was no chance for the Goalkeeper to stop the ball, as he smashed it in the bottom corner of the net.
All this happened during the first half, and Real Madrid was hopeful of scoring more goals in the second half. However, at 57′ Eibar made a triple change: Sergi Enrich, Pedro Leon, and Pedro Bigas replaced Kike, Rafa, and Orellana. After a couple of minutes, Eibar scored a goal at 60′.
After this goal from Eibar, Real Madrid was looking tired and bored, probably waiting for the final whistle. The match concluded with a 3-0 score and Real Madrid won against Eibar easily. Kudos to the authorities for holding La Liga matches amidst pandemic and thanks to the players participating in the games.
